The Rising Afrobeats sensation Phalíll has officially released his debut EP, ‘SUPAHERO,’ marking a new chapter in his musical journey. After a series of singles that introduced listeners to his sound and artistic identity, the fast-rising Nigerian artist has now delivered a full body of work that explores different moods, sounds, and sides of his artistry.

Phalíll ‘SUPAHERO’ EP Tracklist

Released on Friday, August 14, 2026, SUPAHERO features seven tracks: “Supahero,” “Need You,” “Takeoff!,” “Do You Mind (Jabo),” “Temperature,” “Pillow Talk,” and “Away,” which serves as the EP’s outro.

“Supahero” Opens the EP
From the opening moments, Phalíll establishes that SUPAHERO is more than just a collection of singles. The EP begins with its cinematic title track, “Supahero,” where Phalíll blends galactic, atmospheric sounds with contemporary Afrobeats. The production creates the feeling of being transported into a superhero movie, but rather than a conventional cinematic experience, Phalíll uses sound to create something immersive and enchanting. It immediately sets the tone for what follows and leaves the listener eager to hear more.

“Need You” Shows Phalíll’s Emotional Side
“Need You” takes a more emotional direction. On the track, Phalíll reveals a vulnerable side of himself while reflecting on an estranged relationship. The line, “Even though it was your crime, I feel like I should take the blame,” captures the emotional conflict at the heart of the song. Despite being hurt, he remains emotionally attached and seemingly willing to reconcile if she feels the same way.

“Takeoff!” Brings the Energy
With “Takeoff!”, the project shifts gears. The track is energetic, groovy, and highly danceable, offering an early glimpse into the direction of the EP. Released a few weeks before the full project, it served as an introduction to the sound and energy that listeners would eventually find across SUPAHERO.

“Do You Mind (Jabo)” and “Temperature”
“Do You Mind (Jabo)” and “Temperature” bring even more energy to the project, providing two tracks designed for movement, dancing, and partying. Both songs highlight Phalíll’s ability to ride bouncing Afrobeats rhythms while bending his vocals around the production to create a sound that feels lively and distinctive.

“Pillow Talk” Takes a More Intimate Direction
On “Pillow Talk,” Phalíll moves into more intimate territory. The lovers’ song carries a sensual and romantic atmosphere, capturing the desire to keep one’s partner intimately close. Its addictive quality makes it one of the EP’s more sensual moments.

“Away” Closes the ‘SUPAHERO’ EP
The project closes with “Away,” a mid-tempo outro built around a groovy feel and positive, affirming lyrics. The track leaves the listener with an upbeat and contagious mood, providing a fitting conclusion to the journey.

Phalíll’s Versatility on ‘SUPAHERO’

What makes SUPAHERO particularly interesting is the versatility Phalíll displays throughout the project. Compared with his previous releases, the EP presents a broader picture of his artistry, showing his ability to experiment with different sounds while keeping Afrobeats at the core of his music.

More importantly, the seven tracks feel connected. Rather than sounding like unrelated songs placed together to form an EP, each track contributes to a larger musical experience. There is a relationship between the songs, and the transitions in mood and sound makes SUPAHERO feel less like seven individual tracks and more like different pieces of the same story.

Final Thoughts on Phalíll’s Debut EP
With his debut EP, Phalíll gives listeners a clearer understanding of the artist he is becoming: versatile, experimental, emotionally expressive, and unafraid to explore different sides of Afrobeats.
