Fast-rising Afrobeats prince, Phalíll, on Friday 21^st of November, 2025, released a new single titled “It’s Going.”

The song shows a totally different version of him and is a whole new vibe. This new single is a high-energy, party-vibe anthem. Unlike anything Phalíll has done until now, “It’s Going” is a song released to silence his doubters and further cement his place as “the crown Prince of Afrobeats.”

The two songs were released on Friday, the 31st of January 2025, and the fans have really gone wild on this one. 

Coming from a place of loss, grief, and  gratitude, these two songs are like the two sides of the same coin and just as the titles imply, “Laugh Now” is a track that speaks to everyone going through challenges to not focus on their situations, but instead, they should celebrate their wins and keep a grateful and happy heart. Regardless of the circumstances, we should be able to find joy in the chaos and peace in the madness.

 “Cry Later,” which is just a continued message from “Laugh Now,” is a little bit more emotional, deep, and connecting to the soul. The song is a moody one with a powerful message. It tells the listeners to shake themselves from their challenges and that no matter the obstacles, the end will always justify the means. “Cry Later” is a way of saying that people should learn to embrace the painful parts of life and use it as fuel to drive their passion.

  Phalíll – Laugh Now/Cry Later

PAPArazzy Dydoo has released a two-tracked project, “Evidence,” and “On my way.” The two tracks were released at midnight on Friday, the 1^st of November 2024.  At a time when fans were already asking for more, he gave them a double dose.

The track “Evidence” is an uplifting track that holds a soulful message, giving insight into life hurdles and how best to navigate through them. The track is set to get you in the mood and stay motivated.

“On My Way” presents a similar message in a totally different fashion. The song explains the hurdles one encounters before getting to the top and inspires one mot to give up. However, you should take time out every once in a while to enjoy your progress and relax your mind.

Talented singer and songwriter Oluwadolarz and Smile T recently released the hit single, “Fuchor Me,” a song that, without doubt, is still one of the fans’ favourites in the Afrobeats scene, doing well in the numbers across various streaming platforms and trending on social media platforms. In June, Emmy lost his mother, and this hit him as hard as anything could have. It was a time of pain and several emotional breakdowns. This led to Emmy’s temporary break from music, which was aided and advised by his management given the nature of the incident and the toll it was taking on the artist. It was advised that he takes a two months break from the music. This is understandable because there is no replacing a mother’s love.

Having all that time to think and reflect on life itself can either have a positive or negative impact on one’s life, and in this case, it is the former. He spent this time investing in himself and also the music, drawing inspirations from his daily thoughts and the words his mother said to him before her passing, after all what better way is there to honor his mother’s memory than to commit to the same act his mother was bent on seeing him succeed from.

Even though Emmy made a transient pause, his return might be imminent as the starboy has recently hinted at a possible return. Having a source of inspiration is one thing, and having a mother’s dream as a drive is more than enough fuel one’s need not to quit because that is what his mother would have wanted.  Without doubt, when Emmy does return, fans should be expecting a transformed artist, and he might as well be warming up to release an album or an EP, because when creatives take a few steps backwards, they usually run forward with an increased pace, and believe this, he’s had plenty of time to work, and we all can now expect a “blow up” of Emmy NBM.

Fast rising afrobeats act Yemy Pearl has on Friday, 2^nd of August, 2024, released his debut EP, titled “Pearl’s Rhythm.” The four tracks project embodies absolute display of perfection and an excellently unique rhythm by the artist. The album features superstar Bhadboi OML on one of its tracks, “For Me,” a love song directed to a woman he loves, and as expected, Bhadboi OML’s delivery on this song is what his fans would have expected, top.

The EP contains three other tracks, “Fuego,” “Certainly,” and “Vibration.” On this project, it is certainly difficult to pick a favorite as each song communicates a different message and has its unique energy and vibe. “Vibration” is a song for the outsiders, a song for dancers, and party riders. “Certainly” brings a cool, calm, and steady lover boy vibe, providing a decent balance. This melodious song is set to be on repeat on your speakers. “Fuego,” which was first released in 2022, was included in the project.
